What is PET polyester felt?

Polyester felt (PET) is a material made from compressed polyester fibers, 75% of which are recycled from PET bottles. It is a lightweight, durable and versatile material that is widely used in various fields, including acoustics.

Polyester felt has excellent sound absorption properties, making it an ideal choice for use in acoustic products such as wall coverings and suspended ceilings. Its ability to absorb sound helps reduce noise, echo and improve the quality of sound reproduction in rooms.

In addition, polyester felt is a flame-retardant material, which means it is fire-resistant and contributes to occupant safety. It is also easy to clean, scratch-resistant and impact-resistant, making it a practical solution for interiors.

Polyester felt is also safe for health, as it does not emit VOCs, is non-toxic, anti-allergenic and non-irritating. Therefore, it can be used even in spaces intended for children.

How to install wall panels?

Installation of our panels is simple and does not require specialized equipment. However, before installation, you should prepare the surface to which they will be glued. The surface should be degreased and even, which will ensure permanent and stable adhesion of the panels.

For most of our panels, we recommend using a dedicated mounting adhesive to ensure that the panels are firmly adhered to the surface. This adhesive is specifically tailored to our products and guarantees the durability of the installation.

In some cases, we also offer self-adhesive panels. Such panels have a strong mounting adhesive on the back, which allows them to be directly glued to the wall. Before installation, make sure that the wall surface is properly prepared and free of debris.

How to clean the panels?

To keep the panels clean, we recommend vacuuming them regularly with a vacuum cleaner equipped with a soft brush. This will help remove fine dust and dirt that may settle on the surface of the panels.

If stains appear on the panels, we recommend cleaning them using a damp cloth or sponge with a solution of water and carpet or upholstery cleaner. Gently rubbing the stain is usually enough to remove it. The panel should then be dried thoroughly to avoid leaving moisture behind, which could cause stains or damage to the product.

Do the panels get very dusty?

Contrary to appearances, not at all. The panel does not attract dust, so this dust certainly does not settle on the vertical planes of the panels. On the other hand, on all horizontal, protruding planes dust can settle just like on furniture, in such cases once in a while you should vacuum them.

Can panels go in a child's room? Are they safe?

Yes. The panels are hygienically approved and can be used in children’s rooms.

Can Feltro Design panels be used in public interiors, e.g. theaters, offices, hotels?

Yes, the wall panels are dedicated to public interiors, where finishing materials are subject to the requirements of fire safety standards according to the PN-EN 13501 building standard. Feltro Design panels have a flammability class B-s2, d0.

I need a panel for a different size than they are shown on the shop-is it possible?
